Hamburg Hotels

We are going to Germany for the first time and will be in Hamburg for a week in July. We have been searching for hotels (prefer with kitchen facilities) in the city centre area. We will not be renting a car, but will rely on public transportation and walking. We have found two sister hotels, and would like to know about these hotels if anyone has stayed there. Are they in a safe area, and easy access to public transit, shopping etc.? There are only one review in TA for each of these hotels, so any other help is very much appreciated. The hotels are Hanse Clipper Haus and Clipper Elb-Lodge.

From the two hotels mentioned based on location only(i haven%26#39;t stayed there or ever heard of these hotels), i would choose the Hanse Clipper as it%26#39;s more convenient to the city center and in a more safe location than the Clipper Elb-Lodge, although the latter is located in a pretty safe district as well, but more remote. If I were you i%26#39;d rather stay in a more central location(Elysee, Renaissance) or a bit further but in a very nice neighbourhood(Abtei); unfortunately all of the above mentioned hotels do not provide kitchen facilities.

Have a nice stay in Hamburg!!

If kitchen is a must, i%26#39;d suggest you seeing the Madison Hotel which is located in the same area as the Hanse Clipper.
