Where in Berlin are...

Hi there!

I am interested in going to Berlin to visit Weisensee Cemetery, the old Jewish Hospital and the Jewish museum/archives. As I don%26#39;t speak and cannot read any German whatsoever, can you please tell me, if the above are in the north, south, east, west, or central Berlin?

Also, which part/s of Berlin should I be looking at regarding accomodation that isn%26#39;t too far away from the 3 places I%26#39;d like to visit? And which Berlin airport should I be landing at that is closest?

Finally, does anyone know of a map online where I can see where all the places are I%26#39;d like to visit?

Thanks very much for your help

Somewhere central. Berlin is a huge and widespread place.

But has an excellent public transport system.

Plays no role really. Bigger distances are mad up by faster means of transport. You need 20-30 min to reach most of central Berlin from all 3.

BVG map which also shows public transport

It%26#39;s best to stay in Central Berlin, preferably in the Eastern part like Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. Anyway, basically anywhere in Central Berlin is fine as Berlin has a pretty good and efficient public transport system so you get around quickly and easily.

As for the aiports ... it doesn%26#39;t really matter which one you fly to.

thank you Abalada and Berlin Gal for your replies, you have both been very helpful!

One more thing - is there a tourist information desk at all airports in Berlin?

Thanks

There are information desks at the airport, where you%26#39;ll get some tourist related information and services.

There are however no official branches of Berlin Tourism at the airports
