I%26#39;m planning to travel to Salzburg from Munich in February and intend to buy a Bavaria Ticket for the train journey. I will then stay in Salzburg for a few days.
My question is, does anybody know if I can buy 2 Bavaria Tickets at the start of my journey and then use the second one, later on, for the return trip starting in Salzburg?

Yes. But you can also buy the second one in Salzburg when you start your return trip.
If you buy in advance you have to take care that the ticket is issued for the correct day. This is not possible with all ticket machines. Some only issue it for the current day. And at the counter the Bavaria-Ticket is EUR 2,00 more expensive.
