I would make Potsdam and Autostadt in two different trips. There are very convenient highspeedtrain connections between Berlin main station and Wolfsburg (travelling in 1 hour 5 minutes only stopping once in Berlin Spandau).
In Wolfsburg you get into the Autostadt within 5 minutes walk just across a canal-bridge - or shuttle service. It is very advisable to walk the Autostadt by his own - not with a guided tour. Because not all pavillions are of the same quality. So one likes to hurry here whilst have a longer pause there. Musts are: the main building with museum, many attractions and good gastronomy, Lamborghini pavillion, Bentley pavillion - and above all a guided(!) tour on a little train through the huge Volkswagen-Werk originally build in the 1930s(book in advance). 4 hours for Autostadt should be enough.
Potsdam is best reached with regular bus or train services or tourist-busses from many locations out of Berlin. Ther are operators that bring you to Potsdam, show you around and back in some 4 hours. I would make plans for Potsdam on short notice - depending on weather conditions. On a rainy day a stroll through the gardens is no fun. The historic village of Potsdam and the world famous Sanssoucci are some 5 - 10 minutes by car.

Wolfsburg is probably a couple of hours from Berlin by intercity train. The train station is right nxct to the VW Autostadt and the factory. If you are interested in cars, this place is a must. The factory tour is fascinating. An English-speaking guided tour takes place at 12 oclock each day. Lots to see in the various pavilions and museum, and good palces to eat.
