New Year in Bonn

Hi

My boyfriend and I have booked to spend three days in Bonn. We will be there for New Year. Does any know if there will be anything going on as part of New Year celebrations ie. fireworks, market stalls, concerts etc. on New Years Eve ? I can%26#39;t seem to find any information for %26#39;What%26#39;s On%26#39; over over the New Year period at all.

Also I was wondering if a visit to %26#39;Wintertraum%26#39; at Phantasialand would be enjoyable for two late twentiesomthings.... or it is more for kids??

Has anyone checked out the Guggenheim collection at the Kunst museum yet , were there big queues and would it be worth booking a ticket in advance?

Tinnie, I have no idea how you came to book a few days in Bonn but I am so glad you did! It is a lovely city. I am afraid I cannot help with particular events but have a look at /www.bonn.de/index.html?lang=en and then click on Tourism and Culture and go from there.

Go for a walk along the Rhine and watch the New Year%26#39;s Eve fireworks there (very romantic). Try to get up to Drachenfels (you%26#39;ll have to take the ferry over to Königswinter on the other side and either walk up or take the lttle train).

I%26#39;d say that Phantasialand would be great for children of all ages!

We%26#39;ve been to Whitby and hubby says it was the best plaice and chips ever!
