We%26#39;ll be visiting Travemunde for three days in early May and I was wondering if the weather will be warm enough to break out the summer clothes or if we%26#39;ll still need the overcoats...we are staying in a seaside hotel. Thanks for any input!

Anything’s possible: bring your summer clothes but don%26#39;t forget to also bring sweaters and a jacket. The weather’s unpredictable, dress in layers and you%26#39;ll be fine.

Hello, my husband and I love Travemunde! Usually on 1st May the German open air swimming pools open, and often the weather is warm enough to use them, so I would pack shorts/t shirts/swimsuits as well as jumpers and trousers. Look out for the jellyfish in the sea but you are there early in the season so may miss them. Try out the thermal spa at Timmendorfer Strand just north of Travemunde - it has lots of excellent treatments inc pools, whirlpools, indoor and outdoor saunas etc. We hpoe you enjoy your holiday.
