travelling & weather at the end of march

i am planning to visit germany via cologne for 1 week

- planning to rent a car and visit small quaint towns

what towns do u recommend for 1 single male

- i will stay at cologne for two nites

what hotel is good in Old Town

- what wil the weather be at that time of the year

Changing from rain to sun every 5 minutes :-) No, really, it is not predictable - expect temperatures from 2-3° up to 15°, and rain mixed with sunshine. At higher elevations you still might encounter occasional snow showers, but it won%26#39;t stay on the ground.

My son went in March and he encounted the exact weather the above poster described...very unpredictable..but it was nicer than he expected.
