Hotels that sleep 4 on romantic road??

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced, (under $200) hotels that can sleep 2 adults and our 2 children, ages 13 %26amp; 17?? I%26#39;m finding we would have to get two double rooms to have beds for us all and that gets pricy. Any advice is welcome. We will have a car.

In smaller towns and villages along, or near, the Romantic Road that aren%26#39;t touristy you should be able to get two rooms for under $200 easily, perhaps half that or less. You might like to have a look at www.braugasthoefe.com which lists a fair number of small breweries that serve food and also have rooms. The one in my wife%26#39;s village of Ummendorf has excellent food and beer, but that%26#39;s a ways from the Romantic Road. The ones along the A7 autobahn and a short distance east of there are closest to the RR (e.g. places 22 to 53 and 32 and 42). I think that you would enjoy such an experience in the %26quot;real%26quot; Germany, not the one jamb-packed with American tourists.

In Rothenburg ob der Tauber we would definitely recommend the Gasthof zur Sonne. The have a family room a 4 bed room for 120 €. http://www.sonne.rothenburg.de/

There are several nice hotels and hotel-garni%26#39;s in Rothenburg that may be suitable. You might try the Hotel Garni Hornburg at http://www.hotel-hornburg.de/ or the Klosterstueble at http://klosterstueble.de. Contact (through the webpage) Gabrielle at the Hornburg or Erica at the Klosterstuebel (or call either at the numbers shown-- they both speak excellent English) and see what they have to offer- they frequently give breaks to families.

You can also go to the Rothenburg tourist homepage and check their list of accommodations-- they list the webpage for most of them.

Also, check the German hotel reservation service (hrs.de) for individual towns and areas. They are very through.

We have stayed at the Gasthof Greifen in Rothenburg several times in the past. It%26#39;s right in the center of the old town. Rooms with four beds are priced from 117 euros. Their website is--
