Munich to US -- liquids problem?

Has anyone flew out of Munich recently to the US? If so, is there still a secondary security check for liquids? I am assuming the answer is yes. My question is are they letting passengers on the aircraft with a quart size bag containing 3 oz or less of liquid per container?

Just checking as when I flew home through Munich last time the %26quot;TSA%26quot; equivalent did not yet receive this message regarding the change in liquids restrictions.

Thank you,

Fitgal

If you are taking a connecting flight after arrival in the USA, it will not make any difference what the rules are out of Europe because you and your carry-on items will have to go through TSA security again.

We have flown in the US twice and returned from Europe twice since the new restriction were intituted. This last time out of Stuttgart on Delta, at check-in they asked if we were complying with the %26#39;liquids%26#39; rule.

I fail to understand how or why travelers are having a problem with this issue.

The checks at German airport are far less thorough compared to US airports, but they do check. You can now take sample size toothpaste, mouthwash, etc with you. All of that needs to be in a Ziplock back.

The whole procedure is a bit annoying but if it prevents future catastrophies, than I gladly spend a few more minutes at the security check.
