Alternative Rock/Underground/Experimental Music scene

Hi there.

I am going to be arriving in Berlin this week for five days and was hoping that someone could suggest any clubs or upcoming gigs that may be recommended to someone unfamiliar with the Berlin scene. I know that this is highly subjective but any tips would be appreciated. I am an admirer of Einsturzende Neubauten, Die Haut and the work that Nick Cave did in Berlin and was hoping to get any sort of advice on the current Berlin scene.

For upcoming gigs you could check:

http://musik.zitty.de/ (only german, ...but there is a search function on the right)
