The German name for Baviera is Bayern, the English Bavaria.
Ludwig%26#39;s castles and places are Neuschwanstein, Linderhof (nearby) and Herrenchiemsee on an island in the Chiemsee, along the autobahn Munich - Salzburg. The boats leave from Stock, outside of Prien.
They primary palace ofg the Wittelsbach family is Nymphenburg in the Munich suburb of the same name.
The Romantische Strasse has no connection with Ludwig II.
If you come from Venice, you best bet is either the autostrada to Verona, then Bolzano, Brennero, Innsbruck, then road to Mittenwald, Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Linderhof, then Fuessen (Neuschwanstein), or Venezia, Cortina, Bressasone, Bolzano, etc.
The fast route from Fuessen to Prien is Fuessen- Landsberg- Autobahn Munich. Then Autobahn Munich -Salzburg to Bernau exit, and on to Prien and Stock.
