I am travelling to Munich in February. For one of the days, I plan to take a train to Nuremburg to catch an opera. Any advice on the best way to do this?
I also want to see Neuschwanstein Castle. From the central train station, what is the best way to do this?

DB timetable

From: Munich
To: Nuremberg
To: Hohenschwangau
A good deal is the Bavaria Ticket. A day ticket covering all local trains in Bavaria. And also nearly all other local public transport. E.g. the U-Bahn, trams and buses in Munich and Nuremberg. But also the buses from Füssen to Hohenschwangau. On weekdays however valid past 9am only. Valid till 3am next day.
Bavaria Ticket Single (1 person) EUR 18,00
Bavaria Ticket (2-5 persons) EUR 25,00
If you like to use this ticket select at the DB timetable as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot;.
Towards Füssen there are anyway only local trains.
In the case of Nuremberg the local trains are slower than the ICE. 200 kph (RE Franken-Express) is still slower than 300 kph (ICE).
