Frankfurt airport to train station to A'dam: how please?

Flying into Frankfurt from JFK in mid-March, want to go in a very straightforward fashion to a train station and then straight to Centraal Station In A%26#39;dam.

Can anyone please tell me the way with emphasis on cheapest, would rather spend the night on the train than in a hotel in Frankfurt, just the expense mind you!

I can%26#39;t buy in advance online because I don%26#39;t use credit cards so any of those suggestions are moot.

There are direct trains from the Fernbahnhof (aka AIRail Terminal, the far distance train station) to Amsterdam. This is a building next to Terminal 1. Just follow the signs.

For normal train tickets it plays no role if you buy them in advance or the DB travel centre at Frankfurt Airport Fernbahnhof.
