Salzburg To Fussen

Hi,

Just after New Years I%26#39;m wanting to travel to Fussen from Salzburg via public transport. If anyone has any idea on how this can be done I would appreciate the info.

I%26#39;m pretty sure that I can get there by train but the details that I%26#39;m getting seem to be pretty sketchy.

Any details would be great and if anyone has done this actual journey I would like to also know how long it took.

This is not the most straight forward railway trip. A look on the above map will explain this.

And no - there are no better alternatives.

Good thing: you can do the whole trip on a Bavaria Ticket. A day ticket covering all local trains in Bavaria (+ to Salzburg Hbf). And nearly all other local public transport (buses and in bigger cities also U-Bahn and trams). On weekdays however valid only past 9am.

Bavaria Ticket Single (1 person) EUR 18,00

Bavaria Ticket (2-5 persons) EUR 25,00

Select at the DB timetable as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot; if you like to use this ticket. Plays only a role for Salzburg to Munich. From Munich to Füssen there are only local trains anyway.
