I will be in Berlin for New Year%26#39;s Eve. Is there a main centre of celebration in Berlin? Where is the best place in Berlin to be to welcome 2007?

the main celebrations are at Brandenburger Tor: http://silvester-berlin.de/English/start.html
Beside of that there%26#39;ll be hundreds, thousands of parties in the local clubs, restaurants, ...etc. I will just have a nice dinner this year so I%26#39;m not really up to date what%26#39;s going on at NYE.

Detailed info were published just earlier today.
Nokia is the lead sponsor of this year%26#39;s NYE party at Brandenburg Gate. International top acts like the Scissor Sisters and the Sugar Babes will play live on stage in Berlin. Show program starts at 6pm - likely to be crowed even earlier this year. Better be there on time.
Location is same you saw during the Soccer World Cup with 9 giant video walls (live coverage from NYE around the world) and three stages with 13 bands/djs. 150 stalls to buy food and drinks from, 40m high ferris wheel and 20 minute fireworks display at midnight. One million(+) visitors expected.
Nokia%26#39;s worldwide NYE party campaign includes Berlin, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Rio de Janeiro and New York.
