Hi,
you could try:
charleston-berlin.de/content/…
http://www.schoenhouse.de/
http://www.acksel.berlin4c.de/index.php
http://www.gls-berlin.com/hotel/english/
These apartments are in Prenzlauer Berg which is a hip neighourhood in the East. P%26#39;Berg is the perfect location if you%26#39;re looking for some nightlife, nice cafes, bars and restaurants and some typical street- and fleamarkets. There aren%26#39;t too many tourists but it%26#39;s still close enough to the sights.
Here you get some infos and pictures of the P%26#39;Berg:

Oh...and finally a short trip report of a former P%26#39;Berg tourist (crox40 from NY)
%26quot;We stayed in Prenzlauer Berg and I doubt I would look to stay anywhere else. Our last night there we stayed on the West side near the Zoo baunhoff because it is close to the airport but ended up heading east for our night out.
We stayed in a hotel/hostel called Aurora Hostel that was great. The location was perfect and the neighborhood reminds me of a cleaner East Village of New York. Tons of great bars, restaurants, etc. and we even walked back from the sites in Mitte.%26quot;

www.ferienwohnungen24.de and www.123berlinzimmer.de. We booked through the latter and got a nice place on Novalisstrasse in Mitte (near Oranienbugerstrasse/Friedrichstrasse so Museum Island really near, for example). In fact most sights were walking distance from there even Checkpoint Charlie but we%26#39;re good walkers!
It%26#39;s true Prenzlauerberg is prettier but you%26#39;ll need to use public transport to get nearer to centre for main sightseeing. Better for nightlife that area though, so depends on your interests.
Those 2 websites give you lots of apartment options (hundreds in Berlin but you can concentrate on Mitte, P%26#39;berg etc.)
