My daughter will be taking part in a 4 month %26quot;Study Abroad%26quot; program (sponsored by local USA university) starting Feb. 2007.
She will be in Maastricht, Holland (Southern part). By rail, from Maastricht, Paris is only 3 hrs ---Amsterdam, 2 1/2 hrs. ---Could anyone, please, recommend any %26quot;must see%26quot; German cities (large or small) within 4 hours rail travel from Maastricht. At this point, we do not know how much time my daughter will have for traveling/seeing other European cities--- so, a trip that takes 4 hrs or less (one-way) seems quite reasonable. Cities less than 4 hrs away are our primary focus; however, if you feel that there are %26quot;must see%26quot; cities that are more than 4 hrs., by rail, please mention them. Any help would be appreciated. Jaes.
