We will be staying at the Scandotel Castor Hotel from Mon 22nd January to Thursday 25th January. It is our first visit to Berlin and in the evening time we would prefer to dine in the vicinity of the hotel Would be grateful for recommendations on any restaurants and bars in the area.

Around the corner on Motzstrasse 28 is More very modern and fairly gay. It is open all day but a reservation is best in the evening tel 030 635702. If you cross Martin Luther strasse (right out of hotel) there is an italian restaurant La Montagnola (listed in some French restaurant guides) Both are good and not too expensive. If you are there on a Sunday More has a brunch buffet at 5.50 euro pp, I seriously thought they had made a mistake!! Recommended
