Clients interested in visiting the new Porsch factory in Stuttgart. WHere is the location..is it near the present one and when will it be completed. A group of 30 from USA would like to tour the facility. I had planned for them to stay in central Stuttgart near the Rail Station. What would transportation be to the faciity..How far ahead should reservations be made for a tour. Thank you. LillyM

I%26#39;m not aware of a new Porsche factory in Stuttgart. There is for sure no 2nd production location in Stuttgart. All still in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.

The (relative) new Porsche factory I know about is in Leipzig.

They are building a new museum, which will open in 2008.

Check the travel section of the NYT of about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It had a write-up about Stuttgart and also mentioned the opening date as well as the location of the new Porsche factory.

Construction of the new Porsche museum has been delayed and now completion is 2008. The museum has some unusual architecture so the building should be an attraction in itself. I suggest that you contact Porsche about accessing their facility. I know that you can visit the Mercedes assembly plant in Sindelfingen just outside Stuttgart. Again, contact that company if it would interest you. The new Mercedes museum has been very well received attracting many more visitors than expected.

To access the Porsche museum, take the S-6 from Stuttgart%26#39;s main railway station to the Neuwirtshaus (Porscheplatz) stop which is the fourth stop.

I would contact them immediately to see what is possible for your group.
