Nice Hotel or castle

We are travelling from Frankfurt to Munich and during the time celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We would like to stay in a very nice hotel or a castle? Any suggestions.

Also we have a week to drive between frankfurt and Munich hoping to drive the romantic road - any suggestions of where we should stay and see.

You can drive Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Castle Road - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Romantic Road - Füssen - Munich

There are a number of castle hotels along the Castle Road

www.burgenstrasse.de/showpage.php…

esp. Burg Hornberg in Haßmersheim-Neckarmühlbach

or Burg Colmberg in Colmberg

Burg Katzenstein ( Info@burgkatzenstein.de , www.burgkatzenstein.de ) besides having a restaurant also has guest rooms, 12 singles (from 50 euros) and 4 doubles (from 80 euros). If I remember correctly, the restaurant is closed on Monday. This castle is at Dischingen www.dischingen.de/site.php which is close to the Romantic Road. I haven%26#39;t visited it yet as it has only been open for about a year with new owners but the castle has a truly medieval look.

For an excellent very small hotel in Hohenschwangau with close up views of lit up by night Neuschwanstein Castle from your bed try the Villa Jaegerhaus which should be accessible from www.hohenschwangau.de . Make sure to get a room with a Neuschwanstein view as some rooms only have views of Hohenschwangau Palace nextdoor. The center room facing Neuschwanstein one floor up is excellent, as is the room nextdoor in the NE corner which has a views of both palaces. The restaurant in the associated hotel across the street is excellent. You could also attend the musical in Fuessun. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll love your stay there.
