munich to kitzbuhel

How can i do to go to kitzbuhel from munich. I saw the tickets train and it was very expensive.

Not at all (or actually you can but it is unnecessary). Just get a Bavaria-Ticket (valid for up to 5 persons) on arrival, and buy the tickets for the Austrian part (from Kufstein to Kitzbühel) from the rail ticket counter in the airport. Be aware that the Bavaria Ticket is only valid on local trains (RE, RB, S) and not for IC/EC long distance trains. If the next train is an IC or EC and you don%26#39;t want to wait for a local train connection, buy a ticket directly from Munich airport to Kitzbühel on arrival.

Use the Bavaria Ticket (as already explained by altamiro) from Munich Airport (or from any other stop in Munich) to Kufstein. This is a day ticket covering all local trains in Bavaria (plus to Kufstein which is already in Austria). It is valid for 2-5 persons travelling together.

Two restrictions:

- only local trains

(no real restriction on this route. To be on the safe side select at the DB timetable as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot;.)

- on weekdays valid past 9am only

Buy this ticket from a ticket machine at Munich airport (or elswhere). EUR 27,00. If you buy from the counter it will be EUR 2,00 more expensive.

You can also buy the normal tickets from Kufstein to Kitzbühel from the ticket machine or at the counter - no price difference here.

EUR 10,00 per person.

No need to buy in advance. No benefits from buying in advance.

Only problems if you have to cancel/change the tickets.

If you plan to travel also back to Munich / Munich Airport buy a Bavaria Ticket for your return travel day in advance. Be careful on this, as Bavaria Ticket (e.g. with a wrong date) are not refundable.

The tickets for the return part Kitzbühel to Kufstein buy however in Kitzbühel when starting your return trip (will save you a bit).
