Cheapest airport to station transfer

hi there,

We are a group of young travellers on a tight budget planning to travel to munich then into austria in the summer 2007. We are aware of train links between the airport and the station, but can anybody tell us what the cheapest rail option would be?

Thanks for any help,

single ticket is EUR 8,80

a mini group day ticket is EUR 17,00. This ticket is valid for 2-5 persons. From midnight (or time of purchase) till 6am next day. Covers all local public transport (local trains, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams, buses) in the whole MVV network.

If you need on a following day just a ticket for Munich, the mini group version for the inner zone (= Munich) is EUR 8,50.

To reach Austria (or for day trips inside Bavaria).

You can use the Bavaria Ticket (EUR 25,00). Again a mini group day ticket for 2-5 persons. On weekdays valid however only past 9am. No such restriction on Sa or Su. Valid till 3am next day. Covers all local trains in Bavaria. Plus nearly all other local public transport (e.g. all what the MVV has to offer). Also valid to reach a few train stations in Austria across the border, notably Salzburg Hbf and Kufstein (route to Innsbruck).

DB timetable

Select as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot; if you plan to use the Bavaria-Ticket. You cannot use this ticket on far distance trains like IC, EC or ICE.
