Alsterhof or Sylter Hof ?

Hi all,

Looking for some advice. Have been searching for a hotel in Berlin for 3 nights in March, and my final choice is between Alsterhof and the Sylter Hof ... both coming in at £122 for the 3 nights.

Does anyone have a recommendation as to which one would be best ? We are looking for somewhere that is both easy to get to from the airport, and also to get around the city from.

We like to do some walking around, so restaurants close-by %26amp; sights within walking distance would be a plus for us.

Alsterhof is a bit nicer located, deep within the old West Berlin. Area around Sylter Hof is somewhat shady but still convenient.

I%26#39;d opt for Alsterhof. I don%26#39;t know the Hotels but the location of the Alsterhof is much better.

You easily get there from the aiport with the express bus, it%26#39;s just a short S-Bahn or bus trip to most sights...some are even in walking distance. Beside of that it%26#39;s a pretty good choice when it comes to restaurants, bars etc.

I would also opt for the Alsterhof as it is better located than the Sylter Hof.
