My wife and I are travelling with 2 five year-olds in February. We have a car and are driving from Frankfurt to Paris and want to spend a few days on the Rhine river. It looks as though most castle hotels are closed in February. One exception is the Schlosshotel Burg Gutenfels. Does anyone recommend or not recommend this hotel? Is there a better castle hotel that you can recommend for 2 five year-old girls?

We had reservations for 2 nights in March 2007. I received an email on Jan. 1, 2007 that the hotel is now closed due to the death of the owner. I was quite disappointed. I thought I would let you know.

Found this on Burg Gutenfels:
