Best Airport Area Hotel

Can anyone recommend a good hotel near the Munich airport?

Freising is a town not far from the airport. 18 min by bus. There is a bus every 20 minutes.

There is also a number of %26quot;airport hotels%26quot; offering their own shuttle bus service to the airport. They will be in the same range transfer time wise.

You could also stay directly in Munich near the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) or anywhere else near the S-Bahn lines S1 or S8.

Hauptbahnhof to the airport is approx. 45 min by S-Bahn. First S-Bahn departs at 03:18 from Hauptbahnhof to the airport - thus no problem to get also flights early in the morning.

Staying at the Kempinsky was a fun experience. I don%26#39;t usually like large,%26quot; businesss trip%26quot;, hotels but this one is so convenient. It%26#39;s connected to the airport so you can roll your baggage cart right from your room to the check in, the airport has real bavarian specialty pubs, etc. It%26#39;s not cheap.
