Looking for a hostel in Berlin for a few nights towards the beginning of June. Something cheap, but still nice for post-college graduation trip, thanks!
Also, what is the cheapest way to travel to Berlin from Amsterdam?
Thanks!

There are frequent flights by Transavia and Air Berlin - it is faster and often cheaper than train.
For accomodation in Berlin (hotels at least) have a look at www.hotels.de - the hotel prices are much lower than in most other European capitals.

Hi,
you could try the following Hostels. All of them are perfectly located for nightlife and sightseeing (Prenzlauer Berg or Mitte).

Re flights: For oneway flights check back with Transavia.com, for return flights you could also look at klm.com. Air Berlin axed the Amsterdam-Berlin route.

There are direct IC trains from Amsterdam to Berlin. Travel time is 6:16.

NS sells tickets from EUR 50,00.
For the return trip you can get DB Europe Special tickets from EUR 29,00.

Now that Air Berlin are no longer doing this route Transavia fares seem to have jumped upwards, how surprising!!
The very cheapest way is probably the bus with eurolines, ok if you have plenty of time and don%26#39;t mind some discomfort

As for hostelz you could also check out www.hostelworld.com
A lot of people like the Circus hostels which seem to be pretty good. Friends of ours stayed at the Fabrik in Kreuzberg and really liked it.

We found Circus Hostels to be inexpensive, safe, clean and dependable. Our trip was several years ago. So, sorry not as current info as you may need.
