could anyone tell me the cost of a taxi from schoenefeld to the alsterhof hotel, we arrive at 22.30 and i believe public transport stops at 23.00

In Berlin it doesn%26#39;t stop at all, 24/7.

that%26#39;s not entirely true. a lot of lines (especially s-bahn) don%26#39;t operate between 1 am and 4 am (on weekdays). but if you get to schönefeld at 2230, there%26#39;s still enough time for you to catch a train or an s-bahn to the city center.
