clubbing in berlin

myself and 8 other youngish (30-32) ladies are coming to Berlin in May for a %26quot;hen%26quot; weekend(but not in the tacky sense). Can anyone advise me on a club we could go to on the sat night that would be a bit different or fun?? Any suggestions appreciated, retro, mild fetish, burlesque?? Cheers

There is Matrix which is just next to the S Banh stop warschauer.

I%26#39;m not going out clubbing that often anymore so I can%26#39;t give that many tips and nothing out of the ordinary. I quite like the Kalkscheune and the Kulturbrauerei.

A good idea is to get a copy of TIP, Zitty or ExBerliner Magazine when in Berlin. In all of them you%26#39;ll find listenings on what is going on where. TIP and Zitty are in German while the ExBerliner is in English.

Burlesque Shows you can catch at http://www.kleine-nachtrevue.de/

%26#39;Cookies%26#39; is re-opening or has re-opened.

(The clubs name and the owener%26#39;s name are the same.) Mr Cookies has been active in Berlin for many years. His bar Greenwich in Gipsstrasse is still quite ok as a warm up.

His clubs were always fun - he did the Adidas lounge during the world cup.

Cookies (the club) is great for girls.

-------------

%26#39;Berghain%26#39; is a tremendous party but arguably more for the metro-sexual techno-loving crowd. (straight/bi/gay)

-------------

%26#39;Watergate%26#39; has some great parties - some bad ones too.

-------------

%26#39;Arena Club%26#39; is new and buzzing (techno).

-------------

%26#39;Rio%26#39; is similar to %26#39;Arena Club%26#39;

-------------

NB: many clubs open at midnight but start in earnest around 2h in the morning. (Many people go Berghain at 6h on Sunday morning.)

So what you need is bar for starters! Or some bar-hopping.

Bars and restaurants around Kollwitzplatz.

Bars and restaurants around Hackescher Markt.

Upmarket bars and restaurants around Gendarmen Markt.

hey puggy

when i was in berlin we met up with some polish girls that took us to this underground night club in the zoological garten area .i think it may have even been a polish night club i cant remember the name of it maybe the local experts can help .its is in this cave like atmosphere and it was really really pumping . when you first walk in its like a very upbeat lounge type area then you walk through to the next cave like room and it is absolutely going off .people dancing on the dance floor with podium dancers strip teasing and dancers on the bar as well .absolutely shoulder to shoulder .the next room has like a elevated dance floor that everyone gets up and dances on.it was trully unique and something that i will remember for the rest of my life .the nightclubs in the Hackescher Markt area were good as well but nothing like i experienced at this other place

have fun
