What to do around Hahn airport

Hi - I have got to spend about 24 hours in Hahn airport.

Is there anything to do around there?

What is the best city / place to go around there?

What are the costs of getting there?

Any cheap accommodation you could suggest?

I think it%26#39;s a very small airport, I will fly there from Riga on sunday and have to wait about 5 hours until my next flight leaves.

I was there once before but just came straight out of arrivals and left straight away and didn%26#39;t really pay much attention.

I think it%26#39;s smaller than Riga airport and not as modern.

There is coaches to Frankfurt which take approx%26#39; 1.5 hours, look on www.hostelworld.com for cheap accomadation in Frankfurt.

Trier would be a good destination for such a short stay.

It%26#39;s quite a lively university city. But it is of course not Berlin.

Shuttle bus is EUR 12,00.
