We will be in Wurzburg for the second time this May and were interested in a good day trip - Bamberg or Miltenberg or someplace else?
Also, would anyone know if the Nikolaushof Restaurant next to the Chapel on the hill is still open? We wanted to go the last time we were in Wurzburg but never did.

I was just at the Nikolaushof resturant in November...it is one of my favorite resturants in Wurzburg. The owner is a friend of my German friends. Don%26#39;t miss it this trip..the fondue is wonderful. Their phone number is 49-931-79-75-00. Enjoy! I like Bamberg...when the weather is nice the river running thru the city is very enjoyable...also don%26#39;t miss the old resturant where they serve the smoked beer...lots of atmosphere. don%26#39;t be confused by the busier business district of the city..cross the bridge and head up towards the castle...park your car and just walk everywhere.
