Hahn Airport Layover

We were planning on staying in the Mossel area for 2 days before when were flying to Marrakech Morocco on Ryanair but they have canceled that flight. We now are flying to Milan but there was only 1 flight that matches our times, so we only have about 5 hours to spend in Germany. Is there any small town or place of interst near the airport, if so what would you reccomend and how would I get there. I am just looking for a place to mayve grab a bit to eat, buy a postcard or souvanier and maybe see some typical German Architecture if possible. I know its not a lot of time but I would rather take a taxi and go see something in Germany rather than just sit in an aiport and waste time. I would appreciate any suggestions.

b.t.w we are going in May 2007.

Bernkastel-Kues in the Mosel valley. Approx. 20 km from Hahn Airport.

You can check if one of the few shuttle buses to Bernkastel may fit.

Guess taxi will be 40-50 EUR. You can also ask one of the taxi companies at Hahn about the price

Bernkastel-Kues is a small town. And as the surrounding villages are even smaller it has some kind of %26quot;centrality%26quot; function. It won%26#39;t be a problem to find a taxi back. A taxi rank is next to the bus station of Bernkastel.

is another option. This mini bus runs on request and is provided by the tourism organisation of this region. Prices are between normal pubic transport and taxi. Won%26#39;t harm to send them a mail
