Theme parks

We are visiting the Attendorn area in July with 3 children. Any info on the nearest theme parks please. We are driving over with the car, how is the local public transport or would we be as well using the car? We would like to do a day trip to Cologne, is there a family day ticket that would cover travel to and around Cologne? Hubby and I were in Cologne last week and bought a welcome card that covered all our travel and that was great. Is there a similar day card that would cover from Attendorn or would we have to travel nearer in the car and buy one at a closer station.

Phantasialand Brühl (between Cologne and Bonn)

There are VRS+Phantasialand combi-tickets. Same price like the entrance tickets (i.e. VRS public transport is effectively for free).

To my knowledge these combi tickets are available at VRS counters, but not from the VRS ticket machines. No idea how the situation in Gummersbach is on this (only ticket machines?).

Maybe you can sort this out or buy a ticket in advance when in Cologne before (your other posting).

There was once also a VRR+Movieworld combi-ticket. But not sure if this still exists. The park was sold in 2004 (Movieworld -%26gt; Movie Park).

abalada again!! You are a great source of info on the Cologne forum but I didn%26#39;t see you on the Attendorn forum. I%26#39;ve already replied on the Cologne forum before I checked here!!

We only have a week in July and the children want to see the places we have been to. I%26#39;ll keep an eye on the sites you gave me.
