Hornberg

My friend and I will be stopping in the Black Forest and spending a night in the Hotel Schloss Hornberg. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what liesurly things we may be able to do in Hornberg?

Hornberg is a small town (4500 inhabitants). Nice scenery. But not that much else. In Summer however some open air plays.

You need to make sure that the Hornberg Castle that you are staying in is really the one in the Black Forest near Hornberg and Triberg, or if it is the one by the Neckar River by Neckarzimmern between Bad Wimpfen and Mosbach. The later one is the only one of which I%26#39;m aware has a hotel, and is a fair distance to the Black Forest. The two castles are at least 100 km apart. The first internet address that abalada lists is for this hotel which is NOT in the Black Forest.

However, I%26#39;m sure that you can have a good time in the area, whichever Hornberg Castle you%26#39;re at.

Upps ;-)

Indeed I copied the wrong link. This is the one for the Hotel Schloss Hornberg in Hornberg

And as you wrote in your question the correct name, I guess you mean this one.

The other one is rather referred as Hotel Burg Hornberg. This one is more famous as it%26#39;s on the Castle Road and more often mentioned on boards like this one.

Thank you both for the information! :)

My husband and I stayed at Schloss Hornberg in Hornberg over christmas 2006 (4 nights). It was the best Christmas ever. The rooms were clean, the food was good and the staff was friendly. There was a lovely christmas atmosphere, they did everything to make us feel comfortable. Worth every penny.
