Honeymoon Hotel

My fiance and I will be traveling to Garmisch over the summer for our honeymoon. Any hotel recomendations for something romantic??

You basically can%26#39;t go wrong almost anywhere in the area, but one place that jumps to mind in the Forsthaus. It sits above the Partnach Gorge with wonderful views. Speaking of the Gorge, I highly suggest a trip. We just did the Gorge on Sunday and it was great. The ice formations aren%26#39;t in place yet because of the high temperatures (which also makes it a bit of a wet walk), but it%26#39;s still %26quot;gorgeous%26quot; (running corny joke of that day) Have a great time, and congratulations!

Although some distance away, I think you probably can%26#39;t get more romantic than Villa Jaegerhaus, an excellent small hotel, with views of close lit-up by night Neuschwanstein Palace. All rooms have palace views, but some are only of nextdoor Hohenschwangau Palace which is also lit-up by night, so make sure you get a room with a view of Neuschwanstein. A room on an upper floor is best so that you can leave the curtains open at night and no one can see into the room. The middle room on the east side one floor up is very nice (jacuzzi) and you can see Neuschwanstein from your bed, as you can from the room nextdoor in the NE corner which has views of both palaces. The restaurant in the associated hotel across the road is excellent, and if you go in the opposite direction from Neuschwanstein there is a nice lake a short distance away around which you can walk. There are also paths in the forest above Neuschwanstein at the Marienbruecke (bridge) which has lovely views down on Neuschwanstein. The musical in Fuessen is also nice to attend in the evening.

You can find information on our favorite hotel in Germany by going to www.hohenschwangau.de .

Congratulations!!!!!!
