I%26#39;ll be spending 36 hours in Munich very soon, and I%26#39;ve been reading about the different day-tickets for public transport. However, I%26#39;m a bit confused about which type I should buy on every occasion. I%26#39;m planning to do as follows:
Day 1, from 10 AM:
- S-8 from the Airport to Rosenheimer Platz
- S-2 from Rosenheimer Platz to Petershausen
- Bus from Petershausen to Dachau Concentration Camp
- Bus back to Petershausen
- S-2 from Petershausen to Marienplatz
Day 2, until 18:30
- S-8 from Rosenheimer Platz to Marienplatz
- U-3 from Marienplatz to Olympia-Zentrum
- U-3 from Olympia-Zentrum to Marienplatz
- S-8 from Rosenheimer Platz to the Airport
My questions are:
* Will just one ticket be enough for all the trains and buses of Day 1? If so, which one? Same one for Day 2?
* Have the prices risen for 2007? I assume that all the information on the net is still based on last year%26#39;s prices.
* When does S-8 turn into S-2? According to the map, every S-Bahn line is green, but I wonder how to get from one line to another.
Thanks a lot in advance!

To/from the airport you need a day ticket covering the whole MVV entwork (the airport is some 40 km outside of Munich).
Such a day ticket is EUR 9,60. The mini group version (2-5 persons) of this ticket is EUR 17,00.

yes
%26gt; If so, which one?
See above.

The information on the MVV homepage (see above) is of course up to date.

Here a map where also the S-Bahn lines have different colours:

Vielen Dank, abalada, that was a very useful reply. I downloaded the map from amadeus.net, but this one is perfect. Everything%26#39;s clear now!
